Workshops are suitable for beginners & intermediate. Basic sewing knowledge is helpful but not necessary with relevant stitching required taught.
Artisan Felt Fedora Workshop
Explore your creativity with our Artisan Fedora & Trilby Workshop. Learn traditional millinery skills to create your own stunning felt fedora or trilby. Learning her design techniques and working with different mediums including paint, feathers, beads & fabric. During the workshop you will practice traditional millinery skills including developing design ideas, preparing your hat, learning shaping techniques and bringing it all together to bring your design to life to create your own one-off hat under the tutelage of Rachael. All materials are included in our workshops.
Fascinator Workshop
Dive into the art of millinery with our one-day Sinamay Fascinator Workshop. In this hands-on class, you will learn essential techniques used in millinery such as blocking, wiring. You will be guided by Rachael in the art of trimming using a range of design tips, ideas and trims to create your very own stunning fascinator. Through the day you will work with an array of millinery trims such as feathers, flowers, and veiling, as you will watch your design come to life . By the end of the workshop each student will leave with a beautifully crafted fascinator and the skills to make many more.
Burlesque Mini Top Hats
Unleash your creativity and step into the glamorous world of burlesque with our 1 day Burlesque Mini Top Hat Workshop.
This engaging workshop is perfect for all skill levels, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to enhance your costume-making repertoire. Under the guidance of Rachael, you will learn how to design and craft your very own mini top hat, a quintessential accessory in burlesque fashion, using traditional millinery techniques, such as blocking, shaping and wiring. Exploring a variety of materials and embellishments such as feathers, lace, veiling, rhinestones and ribbon you will bring your unique vision to life. By the end of the session, you'll not only have a fabulous mini top hat to take home but also a deeper appreciation for the art of burlesque costuming. Join us for a day of creativity, fun, and a touch of vintage glamour!
ReHash The Trash Headpiece Workshop
Join us for our signature Rehash The Trash Fascinator Workshop and embark on a creative design journey like no other. In this unique and eco-friendly workshop, you'll transform everyday items from your recycling bin into a striking sculptural headpiece. Guided by our expert instructors, you'll learn innovative techniques to repurpose materials into a conversation-starting fascinator that showcases your creativity and sustainability. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, this workshop promises an unforgettable experience and a one-of-a-kind accessory to proudly wear.
Additional Information
A minimum of 5 students are required for each workshop. Group bookings are welcome with maximum 10 students per workshop. Larger groups or corporate bookings please email for prices and availability.
Pop-Ups
Workshops can be booked as a Pop-Up party in the comfort of your own home or a venue of your choice for a minimum of 8 or at our studio in Brighton.
